This guide explains what happens to your photos, your conversations and your personal details on Veya. We do not sell your personal data.
Your photos are for dating, not advertising
Profile photos are visible to members where your profile appears and are checked to help keep Veya safe. Verification selfies are restricted to trust and safety checks and are never shown on your profile. We do not use your photos for advertising.
Your chats stay between you two
Your one-to-one messages are visible to you and the person you are speaking with. They are not public and other members cannot see them. Authorised safety staff may review reported content where needed to investigate harm or enforce Veya's rules.
What other members see
Members see your first name, age, profile photos, city or approximate area, and the details you choose to put on your profile. Your surname, phone number and email address are not shown.
Your precise location stays private
Location helps Veya find people within your chosen distance. Other members see your city or approximate area, never your precise coordinates or live location.
Payments are handled securely
Payment providers process card and app-store purchases. Veya receives the information needed to manage your membership, not your full card details.
You control your account
You can download your data or request deletion from Profile. Your profile disappears straight away. You can reactivate within 30 days; after that, your account is permanently erased, except for limited records we must retain for legal, safety or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your privacy rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data. Profile contains the controls for downloading and deleting your account, or you can contact the Veya team for help.
